Following the MedPAN thematic call for small projects on habitat mapping launched in February 2019, 3 projects have been selected and are starting their activities. The projects have a duration of 12 months and are funded by the MAVA foundation. The total budget for the 3 projects is 39,400 euros. The selected projects are:
- Mapping and assessing the condition of important littoral bioconstructions (vermetids, calcareous algae and corals) of the MPA Cape Greco, Cyprus
- Coastal habitat mapping in support of conservation activities for the loggerhead Caretta caretta, Greece
- SOS Corales, Spain
The MedPAN thematic call for Small Projects on co-management approaches in MPAs launched on December 18, 2019 was closed on February 5, 2020. A total of 20 applications have been received and are being evaluated. This Call for Small Projects is conducted with the financial support of the French Fund for the Global Environment (FFEM) and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. The available budget is € 38,270 in total, which will finance 1 or 2 new small projects.
