On 21 December at 11:00 (Central European Time), join the final EUROPARC webinar of 2021!
Deterioration of the marine and coastal environment is reducing the ability of oceans and seas to mitigate the effects of climate change.
It’s really important to implement measures that restore the natural capacity of the environment to mitigate and adapt to climate change. Restoring the marine environment and improving its biodiversity is imperative if we want to maintain all the ecosystem services it has to offer.
The webinar will address the challenges and solutions of using nature restoration for climate change mitigation and adaptation, by looking at nature restoration projects in two Mediterranean Marine Protected Areas and also discovering how different environmental factors are inventoried and how natural conditions are restored across the Mediterranean.
The webinar will in particular showcase the work of the MPA of Portofino in the framework of the ROC-POPLife and ReLife projects
