The Final Conference of the DestiMED project will take place on 22 and 23 October in Rome.

The European project DestiMED was launched at the end of 2016 for a period of 3 years. DestiMED brings together 13 marine and coastal Protected Areas from France, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Albania and Greece.

The project focuses on the development of ecotourism in Mediterranean Protected Areas. Through this project, ecotourism standards and monitoring tools to measure and improve the sustainability and quality of ecotourism in Mediterranean Protected Areas have been developed and tested.

The DestiMED project is a project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund in the framework of the Interreg MED Program, which ends in October 2019 after 3 years of activities.
