We were deeply saddened to learn that Boris Daniel passed away at the end of June.
Boris had just taken up a new position as Director of the Côte Bleue Marine Park. It was a come back to his dearest MPA since he had started his carreer with this team before joining the French Marine Protected Areas Agency.
Passionate about the sea, Boris was committed, cheerful and enthusiastic. He enjoyed meeting marine environment enthusisasts from both shores of the Mediterranean and it was always a pleasure to talk with him.
Boris left far too soon and we extend our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. We already miss Boris and his absence leaves a void in the Mediterranean MPA community.
His colleagues and friends Eric Charbonnel and Frédéric Bachet have written some beautiful words about him and his passion for the preservation of the Mediterranean marine environment. We share them with you here.
We would like to collect your testimonies and photos to pass on to his children. If you wish, please do not hesitate to send us your memories of Boris to this link by the end of the summer:
