On 21 November at 18:15 local time, MedPAN will host a side event at COP 14 of the Convention on Biological Diversity entitled “Networks of MPA managers to accelerate progress towards Aïchi target 11″.
Organised in collaboration with CaMPAM, NAMPAN, RAMPAO, the French biodiversity Agency, Fundación Biodiversidad, and the EU Transatlantic MPA network project, this side event aims to show the value and the role of networks of MPA managers at different levels (regional, sub-regional, national, or thematic) to accelerate the progress towards the qualitative aspects of Aïchi target 11, mainly the effective management of MPAs.
The side event will be the opportunity to showcase actions and activities implemented by the networks and highlight the initiative of a common strategy among different regional and national networks at transatlantic level and the potential to enlarge this approach worldwide.
