Three MedPAN small projects on the sustainable management of marine turtles launched in 2020

In the framework of the MedPAN thematic call for small projects on the sustainable management of marine turtles, 3 projects have been selected and are starting their activities. The projects have a duration of 12 to 18 months and are funded by the MAVA Foundation. The total budget for the 3 projects is 40,500 €. The selected projects are:

  • Conservation of sea turtles and their habitats in the island of Farwa, Libya
  • AMELIE: InnovAtive Monitoring at marinE and coastaL habItats: fostEring management and conservation of sea turtles at Cephalonia Island, Ionian Sea, Greece
  • Coordinated monitoring and management of sea turtle nesting activity in the western Mediterranean through MPA, Spain/Italy
