In the framework of the MedPAN network Regular Training Programme, MedPAN, Brijuni National Park and the BlueSeeds team developed a training module to assist MPA managers in developing their business plans.
The first session of this module took place at the beginning of the year with 9 MPA management organisations over the course of one month alternating phases of independent work on their business plans using the “MedPLAN” tool** and video tutorials, as well as bilateral work sessions with the trainers.
The video tutorials are now on line. They give a solid background on the elements that need to be considered when developing a business plan for Marine Protected Areas.
- Video tutorial 1 – Funding needs
- Video tutorial 2 – Business Planning
- Video tutorial 3 – Optimise costs and revenues
- Video tutorial 4 – Choosing financing mechanism
- Video tutorial 5 – Self financing mechanisms
This training on Business Planning for MPAs is part of the MedPAN network’s Regular Training Programme and is intended to be repeated over time.
This training is made possible by the financial support of the Interreg Med MPA NETWORKS project, the MAVA foundation, the COGITO project and the French Biodiversity Office.
