Reda Neveu joined the secretariat team mid-March as Data Management Officer, a key position at MedPAN. Reda brings to the team his technical skills and a solid field experience. Indeed after a master’s degree in biodiversity and sustainable development at the University of Perpignan, Reda has been involved in a number of monitoring projects within the University of Perpignan (CEFREM) and the marine natural park of the gulf of Lion in link particularly with fisheries, marine ecology and indicators for MPA management. He has developed a database management experience and a real taste for cartography. His missions at MedPAN: technical coordination of MAPAMED, the GIS database gathering information on Marine Protected Areas of the Mediterranean, and more broadly on sites of interest for the conservation of the marine environment co-managed with SPA/RAC, the technical contribution to the Mediterranean MPA Status report produced every 4 years, the supervision of the monitoring resource center for MPA managers, the supervision of the development of specific monitoring protocols useful for MPAs, and a number of other important responsibilities.

Welcome Reda!
